What is Egnyte?

One secure place for your organisation’s files

Egnyte is a cloud content platform for sharing and working on files securely. It can replace an on-premise file server, gives your team access from anywhere, and builds in access controls, ransomware detection, data loss prevention and sensitive data discovery. It connects to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce and more than 200 other apps.

Egnyte has a data centre in Dammam, so organisations can keep their content in the Kingdom, and it highlights support for personal data protection laws including the Saudi PDPL. In September 2026 it added Arabic right-to-left support to its web interface.

Governance features

For regulated organisations

Know where your files are and who can open them

Where files are stored and who can reach them are among the first questions regulators, auditors and clients ask. Egnyte gives you a clear answer: a chosen storage location, permissions you can review and a record of who opened, shared or changed each file.

This supports the data protection side of the Saudi PDPL and the controls SAMA, the CMA and the NCA expect. See how we support firms in KAFD.

How it works

3. Migrate

We move and check your files, set up any on-site access and show your team how to use Egnyte.

4. Support

Day-to-day support and regular reviews of permissions, storage and security settings.

FAQ

Egnyte questions

What is Egnyte?

Egnyte is a cloud platform for storing, sharing and governing business files. It replaces or extends file servers, works with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and includes security features such as ransomware detection and data loss prevention.

Can Egnyte keep our files in Saudi Arabia?

Egnyte has a data centre in Dammam. We set your account up so your content is stored in the region you need.

How much does Egnyte cost?

Egnyte’s published plans start at US$22 per user per month, billed annually, and rise with features such as advanced AI and ransomware recovery (as at October 2026). We quote the licence together with set-up and support, so you know the full cost.

Is Egnyte available in Arabic?

Egnyte added right-to-left support for Arabic to its web interface in September 2026, with mirrored navigation and localised interface elements.

Can we still work on files in the office?

Yes. Egnyte Smart Cache is a device on your network that keeps files available locally, even if the internet connection drops. One device supports up to 300 users.

Does using Egnyte make us PDPL compliant?

No product can on its own. Egnyte helps with data location, access control and audit trails, and we set those up, but you remain responsible for your obligations.
